When Wayne, Andy & Laura got together and cooked a BBQ for friends and family at their home in Worcester they couldn’t believe the feedback they had from the food they lovingly prepared. In 2015 husband and wife Laura and Wayne took a trip to NYC and visited some of the city’s best BBQ restaurants. With a passion for the art of wood-smoked BBQ food they met up with Andy who already had 4 years in the business and The Smokey Oak was born. At Shobdon they will be serving ‘low and slow’ smoked BBQ and deli food including freshly made hot sandwiches with pulled pork and brisket with Hereford Hop cheese, served on semi-brioche rolls and house-slaw and pulled pork nachos.
